Memories

Memories

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Hey! Cool blog template!

I remember the night we came to show you the engagement ring. (I was so nervous because I thought you would think we were crazy for getting married because we hadn't been dating that long.) But, you gave me a great big hug and said, "I couldn't have picked a better match for Kelly!" it made me feel so good! I knew right then that I would have a fantastic mother in law!

A memory of my mother...hmmm. That's harder than it sounds because pretty much everything involves you!

I remember going to the swap meet at the old drive-in with you one saturday morning. It was late summer and we were trying to find some touch lamps like the ones you have in your bedroom. I found some itty bitty wine glasses that I really wanted. You bought them for me and said you'd save them for Christmas. We'll, we both forgot about them. Then sometime in March you were cleaning out a closet and found my little wine glasses. We got a good laugh out of it. I was probably 10.

One of my favorite memories of you is the first Halloween after I married Shawn. My family had always trick or treated, but I had never seen a grown women dress up as a witch, with long black nails, and dress and have a huge fake nose and warts with a green face. You had such fun with Halloween. Your house had black lights, and the kids were way decorated and it was so fun. Halloween has since become one of my favorite holidays.

its kinda sad that I've lost so much of my zip and zoom - Halloween was ever so much more fun with my kids !

My favorite memories of you are the ones we're building now. I love watching Ben light up when his "Mamaw" comes in. I was so worried when Simon was born, and I was a little weird anyway. It was such a relief to have you step up and just take Ben for those days, and know that you'd be back to help so much since then. I hear people complain about their mother-in-law, and all I can say is, "I'm sorry for you. My mother-in-law is so awesome."
